Hello, my name is Shanae Dosela, and I work as a student assistant here at Native American Student Affairs (NASA). I am from and an enrolled member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Specifically, I come from the Bylas district. I am a fourth-year undergraduate student, majoring in Law and minoring in American Indian Studies. Currently, I am also completing my undergraduate certificate in Tribal Courts and Justice Administration. I am as well a part of the Indigicat Student Association. Following the completion of my undergraduate certificate, and later with conjunction of a B.A. in Law, I hope to begin working within my tribe’s tribal court system. After obtaining my undergrad degree, I plan on pursuing a Juris Doctorate through the Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy Program. Eventually, I would love to become the Attorney General for the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Also, to not only be an advocate for my tribe but other Indigenous Peoples and communities as well.
