Seniors, Graduate School and Professional School students, congratulations on your upcoming graduation. We want to celebrate this great achievement and invite you to participate in the NASA Graduation Convocation. 

Please note: the registration deadline for the spring 2017 NASA Convocation is Friday, April 28, 2017.

Native American Student Affairs Graduation Convocation will be held

Friday, May 5, 2017, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Student Union Memorial Center, South Ballroom

If you graduated in December 2016, or are graduating in May or August 2017, you're invited to participate in the NASA Graduation Convocation.

2017 Student Leadership & Awards Banquet

 

We have reached capacity for this event.

Native American Student Affairs would like to invite you to our awards banquet. NASA & other organizations will be recognizing student leaders within the community. Complete the form HERE to nominate a student for any of the listed categories. Students should excel academically and have contributed in some way to the establishment of their campus community, the American Indian community, or the overall University of Arizona community. More than one nomination can be submitted for one individual.  

Awards: 

Outstanding Freshman Award

Awarded to a first year student who has not earned more than 29 units and has demonstrated significant achievement as well as contributed to the establishment of the American Indian community at the UA

Outstanding Undergraduate Award

Awarded to an undergraduate student who has demonstrated significant achievement as well as contributed to the establishment of the American Indian community at the UA.

Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, also known as the “Bahti Award”

Awarded to a senior student who has earned no less than 90 units and has demonstrated significant achievement as well as contributed to the establishment of the American Indian community at the UA

Outstanding Graduate Academic Award

Awarded to a student who currently has an undergraduate degree and is currently enrolled into a graduate or professional program at the UA and has demonstrated significant achievement as well as contributed to the establishment of the American Indian community at the UA

Outstanding Graduate Service Award

Awarded to a student who currently has an undergraduate degree and is enrolled into a graduate or professional program at the UA and has contributed a significant amount of service to the university, Tucson or their Tribal community

 

Nomination Requirements:

1)  Completed nomination form.

2)  A one (1) page nomination letter submitted by nominator based on the criteria of the award.

3)  Nominee must be a registered student at the University of Arizona and be considered, “full time”.

4)  Students will be recognized at the NASA Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 27, 2017 (location         

     and time TBD)

5)  Nomination forms must be received at the Native American Student Affairs office (Robert L.

     Nugent Building, Room 202) by Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
